Old, New Cities
Old, New Cities is a 2019 European Commission talk on the relationship between historic urban environments and emerging computational tools. The lecture examines how cities can absorb new forms of sensing, data, simulation, and civic technology without reducing urban life to a technical system.
The project frames urban innovation as a negotiation between continuity and change: how old cities preserve memory, identity, and public life while adapting to new pressures of mobility, climate, governance, and digital infrastructure.
